Three Months After Hurricane Maria, 45 Percent Of Puerto Rico Is STILL Without Power

Are you listening,

It’s been three full months since the hurricane made landfall on the American island, and now, officials are saying 45 percent of the nearly 1.5 million customers there STILL don’t have any power.

How is that possible in this day and age, and in THIS country???

A woman named Susan Tierney, an expert on this type of thing who testified before a U.S. Senate committee on restoration efforts in Puerto Rico recently, put it best in a new

But, like, seriously… he has time to whine about mid-term elections (of which he’s not involved) and try to slam-dunk on

And we need to be mindful of it ourselves. Puerto Rico still desperately, badly needs help.

Go HERE and HERE if you’re interested in some more new, good journalism coming out of the island today.

This problem will not just go away in time.

Run, Joe, Run? Donald Trump Would Lose ‘Overwhelmingly’ To Joe Biden In 2020

Ready for 2020 yet?!

Neither are we, but politicians are definitely thinking about it — and according to one powerful Democrat, it sure sounds like

According to former Pennsylvania governor and DNC chair Ed Rendell, Biden isn’t just one of the options, he is “a superstar.”

Speaking on a New York radio show

The Democrats need a leader — preferably a slightly younger one, and perhaps a woman or a person of color. Maybe everyone could vote for Kris Jenner again???

The Republicans already have a leader, and he’s one of the worst of all time.

Oh yeah… 2020 is gonna be fascinating…

Jim Nabors, Celebrated Comedic Actor & Singer, Dies At 87

Sad news.

On Thursday morning, industry vet Jim Nabors, who was best known for playing Gomer Pyle on The Andy Griffith Show and on his own sitcom, passed away. He was 87 years old.

According to his longtime love and husband, Stan Cadwallader, the comedian died peacefully at his home in Hawaii. Apparently, Nabors’ health had been in decline for the last year. In case you forgot, the TV legend received a liver transplant in 1994 after contracting hepatitis B.

On Jim’s tragic passing, Cadwallader shared with the Associated Press:

“Everybody knows he was a wonderful man. And that’s all we can say about him. He’s going to be dearly missed.”

How heartbreaking. In addition to his successful film and TV career, Jim was known for having a lovely baritone voice, which he used to record 28 albums. Few people may realize this, but Nabors had FIVE gold records and one platinum record.

The Alabama native also lent his voice to the Indianapolis 500, thus, his rendition of Back Home Again in Indiana has been a staple of the annual race since the ’70s. Unsurprisingly, in 1991, Nabors received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

As always, our thoughts are with Jim’s loved ones and fans during this sad time. R.I.P.

Matt Lauer’s Alleged Secret Affair With Today Production Assistant Exposed! Read Her Story Here!

Don’t think a powerful man having a consensual affair with a colleague is a big deal? Maybe to Matt Lauer it’s not — but one of the many women he reportedly manipulated thinks differently.

Addie Zinone worked as a production assistant on NBC‘s Today back in 1999, where she expected to work toward her dream job of being an on-air journalist like Katie Couric.

What she got instead was a string of confusing workplace hookups with the accused daytime philanderer that went on to negatively impact her career, as well as her mental health.

Recounting the tryst to Variety, Zinone said she forged strong bonds with Couric, Ann Curry, and Al Roker during her months running the news on Today, but remembers Lauer keeping more of a professional distance — until she accepted a job in West Virginia.

One morning on June 8, the then-24-year-old received a message from Lauer on the company’s instant messaging system out of the blue. She says he wrote:

“Hey. i hope you won’t drag me to personnel for saying this. but you look fantastic. i don’t know what you have done, or what is going on in your life…but it’s agreeing with you.”

Zinone thanked the newly married 40-something man and told him about her new position as a local anchor on WDTV Channel 5. The two agreed to set up a day for lunch, where Zinone understood Lauer would give her career advice.

But before they went out, Lauer stepped up his flirting game. One day when Zinone was wearing a skirt and heels, Lauer messaged her saying:

“OK…NOW YOU’RE KILLING ME…YOU LOOK GREAT TODAY! A BIT TOUGH TO CONCENTRATE.”

Zinone realized he was flirting, but still went to lunch with purely professional intentions. Though she didn’t get the constructive advice she was looking for, apparently — only confusing compliments and overwhelming flattery. At the end of the lunch, Lauer suggested they leave separately, something she’d never experienced before while dining with a Today colleague.

Zinone remembers being unable to concentrate once she got back to her desk. After sending Lauer a message, he is said to have replied “meet me” right away. Lauer reportedly ignored Zinone’s reminder that he had a wife and suggested the two meet in the studio dressing room. She agreed, and says the two had a consensual encounter.

The two allegedly met several times over the next few weeks, and each encounter took its toll on the young woman. Zinone recalled just wanting to be professionally encouraged by the industry vet, but only received fleeting physical pleasure.

After their last encounter in a bathroom at the 2000 Democratic National Convention in California, Zinone started her job anchoring the local news in her hometown. Just a few weeks into her new job, she recalled being approached by a reporter from the National Enquirer asking her about her relationship with Lauer. She told the reporter they were just friends, and later emailed Lauer about it — she says he responded by completely ghosting her.

Over the next decade, Zinone enlisted in the army and landed a job at Access Hollywood, but her history with Lauer went on to impact her career trajectory and her confidence. Even standing beside the other accusers, Zinone says, sharing her story is still terrifying for the mother of two.

Zinone made it clear that she’s not trying to get anything out of this situation “other than be another voice in this important conversation about women in the workplace.” What was a sexual conquest for Lauer turned out to be years of pain for the woman he took advantage of.

Now facing her fears, Zinone wants to do everything she can to ensure this doesn’t happen to the next generation of women — especially her 7-year-old daughter.

Trump’s FCC Chairman Went After Alyssa Milano Over Her Net Neutrality Comments And She Totally SCHOOLED Him!

So, it turns out Alyssa Milano is the boss…

The Charmed star has been a crusader for Net Neutrality, an extremely important issue the FCC is voting on in just a matter of days.

At its simplest, net neutrality keeps the Internet as it is, with all websites given equal speed, allowing people to access what they want, when they want.

Video: John Oliver Explains So Much Better Than We Can!

Ajit Pai, whom Donald Trump made the chairman of the FCC, has been Net Neutrality’s most vocal opponent. Essentially, he wants Internet Service Providers (and the corporations that own them) to have the power to create different speed channels — meaning some websites will go faster, others will start to CRAWL like it’s 1994 dial-up.

Trump obviously loves this because it’s good for corporations AND he gets to undo something Barack Obama did.

Because Pai apparently doesn’t want to answer direct arguments for keeping Net Neutrality, he’s instead making attacks on his opponents because they’re celebs — instead of convincing the American people.

Well, when he tried it on Alyssa, it did NOT go well for him! She tweeted in response to his insult:

For those who didn’t see it and don’t wish to look at his mug any more than they have to, he said:

“I’m threatening our democracy? Really? If this were ‘Who’s the Boss?’ this would be an opportunity for Tony Danza to dish out some wisdom about the consequences of making things up.”

Alyssa was ready to hit him back not with jokes but with facts, something he didn’t bring to the fight:

Look into Net Neutrality for yourselves — and if you agree with Alyssa call the FCC at 202-418-1000 and let them know!
