Doctor Says Period Cramps Are Just As Painful As A Heart Attack, The Internet Reacts (20+ Pics)

People are finally talking about period pain, something that we, as a society, still don’t really understand or recognize. Period pain, like much of women’s reproductive health in general, is under-researched, misunderstood, often swept under the carpet and shrouded in taboo.

Looking beyond the sensationalist headlines (the heart-attack comparison came from a single doctor’s anecdotal evidence), the conversation raises all kinds of important issues and questions that we are long overdue in discussing.

For example, why is so little known about a condition that affects 20% of women to the point that they can’t go about their daily activities? Why do doctors take women’s pain less seriously? Why are women left with little option but to keep quiet, take a painkiller and get on with it? Would there be more research and understanding if men had to deal with it too?

Right now there isn’t really a prominent lobby pushing the need for further research, and there still appears to be a general media discomfort about using period-related words on their channels. There are such deep-rooted linguistic and societal links between the womb and the emotional over-reaction of women, even the word ‘hysteria’ stems from the Greek word for uterus. You could say that this has been going on for a while now. So if things are going to change anytime soon we really need to start talking about period pain, to normalize it and to get doctors to start taking it more seriously.

Ironically (or not), it took the revelations of a man for people to start the conversation. But talking about it they are. While some people are shocked by the headline-grabbing comparison, to millions of women this is old news, and they took to social media to share their stories. Scroll down below to check out some of the conversation below, and let us know what you think in the comments. Because after all, change has to start somewhere doesn’t it?

Binaural beats, or binaural tones, are auditory processing artifacts, or apparent sounds, caused by specific physical stimuli. This effect was discovered in 1839 by Heinrich Wilhelm Dove and earned greater public awareness in the late 20th century based on claims coming from the alternative medicine community that binaural beats could help induce relaxation, meditation, creativity and other desirable mental states. The effect on the brainwaves depends on the difference in frequencies of each tone.

For our tracks that contain isochronic tones with the binaural beats, these can be played on stereo speakers.

The binaural beat provided is never to be used as a replacement for the advice of your physician or health care provider or as a replacement to modern medicine. Learn more about signs of kidney problems by visiting .

You might not know much about your kidneys and what they do right now…so I'm going to tell you a few basic facts before I list some of the signs of kidney problems… As you can see from this video, your kidneys are two bean shaped organs that are located just a bit above your belt line on either side of your body…

Each kidney has thousands of tiny tissues called nephrons that filter waste materials, toxins and excess fluids from your bloodstream. These are flushed out of your body in the form of urine. urine.

Here's a list of the most typical signs of kidney problems that occur from a variety of possible disorders, which may include kidney stones, kidney infections, kidney cancer or kidney damage from some type of physical trauma, like a severe blow to the kidney area. These symptoms are also likely to show up if you have certain conditions like diabetes or high blood pressure.

Lower back pain is very often one of the first symptoms of kidney trouble. This back pain may be a mild, nagging ache, or it can be so severe it's actually debilitating.

Another common indicator of a kidney disorder is discomfort during urination and urine that is discolored and cloudy or even tinged with blood. Keep in mind, however, these symptoms are also typical of a bladder infection, so it's important to see your doctor for a diagnosis.

Most people with kidney trouble also find themselves heading for the bathroom more often than usual, even if little or no urine actually flows out. But this too can also just be a symptom of a bladder infection.

Signs of more serious kidney problems like impending kidney failure, a kidney infection or kidney cancer can include: changes in blood pressure, muscle weakness, anemia, lethargy and sleepiness, loss of appetite, cognitive difficulties, stomach discomfort,
general swelling, fever and chills, nausea and vomiting, breathlessness, night sweats,
increased heart rate and unexplained weight loss.

Signs of kidney problems shouldn't be ignored. When you experience one or more of the symptoms I've listed, consult your doctor as soon as you can.
